Sold at the upper estimate price
The work A Girl Reading by Mikhail Zichy was sold in the Russian Art auction at Christies in London in June 2011. The auction ended at the price of GBP 4,000.00 (€ 4,425.26), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of GBP 3,000.00 – 4,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mikhail Zichy achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work An important montage marking the occasion of the Emperor Alexander II's Silver Wedding Jubilee in June 2010 with an auction result of GBP 457,250.00 (€ 556,058.56).
