Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Good Mother by Mike Lee was auctioned at Phillips in Hong Kong in November last year. The price achieved of HKD 163,800.00 (€ 20,326.24) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 100,000.00 – 200,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Mike Lee - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Dear God, which sold at auction in December 2021 for HKD 525,000.00 (€ 59,467.22).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Good Mother von Mike Lee kam im November letzten Jahres bei Phillips in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 163.800,00 (€ 20.326,24) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 100.000,00 – 200.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Mike Lee mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Dear God beobachtet, die im Dezember 2021 für HKD 525.000,00 (€ 59.467,22) versteigert wurde.
