In September 2019 Christies in London held the auction First Open | Online, which included the work (Not) Picasso's Portrait of Gertrude Stein 1905-06 by Mike Bidlo. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 8,125.00 (€ 9,168.10), 35% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mike Bidlo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Not Picasso (Bather with Beachball, 1932) in May last year with an auction result of USD 1,260,000.00 (€ 1,174,168.30).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 35 % übertroffen
Im September 2019 führte Christies in London die Auktion First Open | Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit (Not) Picasso's Portrait of Gertrude Stein 1905-06 von Mike Bidlo zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 8.125,00 (€ 9.168,10) und damit 35% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mike Bidlo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Not Picasso (Bather with Beachball, 1932) im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.260.000,00 (€ 1.174.168,30).
