Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Tehuantepec River by Miguel Covarrubias was auctioned at Bonhams in Los Angeles in June last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 700.00 – 900.00, the actual price achieved of USD 701.25 (€ 669.83) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Miguel Covarrubias achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work In Preparation Of A Balinese Ceremony in October 2014 with an auction result of HKD 8,440,000.00 (€ 868,922.59).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Tehuantepec River von Miguel Covarrubias kam im Juni letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in Los Angeles zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 700,00 – 900,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 701,25 (€ 669,83) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Miguel Covarrubias erzielen.
