Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Michio Yoshihara was auctioned at Phillips in New York in November 2017. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 10,625.00 (€ 8,930.07) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Michio Yoshihara - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Work, which sold at auction in October 2015 for HKD 212,500.00 (€ 24,825.67).
