This artwork by Michael Staniak achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in London in February 2015. In the Contemporary Art Day Sale auction, the work without title sold for GBP 17,500.00 (€ 24,129.90) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 9,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Michael Staniak; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot IMG_885 (holographic) sold at auction in July 2014 with the realized price of GBP 25,000.00 (€ 31,532.86).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 94 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Michael Staniak erzielte im Februar 2015 bei Phillips in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Sale wurde diese Arbeit ohne Titel für GBP 17.500,00 (€ 24.129,90) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 9.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Michael Staniak; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit IMG_885 (holographic) im Juli 2014 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 25.000,00 (€ 31.532,86).
