Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Australian Bible (From The Series Cloud) by Michael Riley was sold in the Important Australian Art auction at Sothebys in Melbourne in August 2009. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of AUD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of AUD 4,200.00 (€ 2,469.26) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Michael Riley - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled (Boomerang) From The Series Cloud, which sold at auction in July 2009 for AUD 12,000.00 (€ 6,793.94).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Australian Bible (From The Series Cloud) von Michael Riley wurde im August 2009 in der Auktion Important Australian Art bei Sothebys in Melbourne versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von AUD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von AUD 4.200,00 (€ 2.469,26) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
