The price achieved of GBP 4,750.00 (€ 5,300.27) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Michael Lyne have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The End Of The Day in June 2001 with an auction result of USD 24,675.00 (€ 29,118.48).
