This work without title by Michael Kagan was sold in the Contemporary Discoveries auction at Sothebys in New York in March last year. It achieved a price of USD 40,320.00 (€ 36,347.25), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 34%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Michael Kagan - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work It Begins, which sold at auction in June last year for HKD 1,134,000.00 (€ 137,999.43).

Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Michael Kagan wurde im März letzten Jahres in der Auktion Contemporary Discoveries bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 40.320,00 (€ 36.347,25) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 34%. Für andere Arbeiten von Michael Kagan mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit It Begins beobachtet, die im Juni letzten Jahres für HKD 1.134.000,00 (€ 137.999,43) versteigert wurde.
