Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Still Life With Drape by Michael Goldberg was sold in the New Now auction at Phillips in New York in March this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 12,065.00 (€ 11,097.31) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Michael Goldberg achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Park Avenue Façade in May 2014 with an auction result of USD 461,000.00 (€ 337,976.54).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Still Life With Drape von Michael Goldberg wurde im März diesen Jahres in der Auktion New Now bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 12.065,00 (€ 11.097,31) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Michael Goldberg erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Park Avenue Façade im Mai 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 461.000,00 (€ 337.976,54).
