Sold at the lower estimate price
In November 2017 Sothebys in London held the auction Contemporary Curated, which included this untitled work by Michael DeLucia. The result of GBP 1,500.00 (€ 1,702.72) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Admittedly, works by Michael DeLucia have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Cylinder (Gray) in July 2014 with an auction result of GBP 10,000.00 (€ 12,613.14).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im November 2017 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Contemporary Curated durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Michael DeLucia zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 1.500,00 (€ 1.702,72) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Michael DeLucia auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Cylinder (Gray) im Juli 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 10.000,00 (€ 12.613,14).
