Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In March 2008 Sothebys in New York held the auction American Paintings, which included the work Blackfeet Camp During Buffalo Days by Michael B. Coleman. The »bidding war« ended at USD 21,250.00 (€ 13,445.11), 18% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Michael B. Coleman - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work In the Rockies—Blackfeet, which sold at auction in October 2020 for USD 32,500.00 (€ 27,904.18).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im März 2008 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion American Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Blackfeet Camp During Buffalo Days von Michael B. Coleman zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 21.250,00 (€ 13.445,11) und damit 18% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Michael B. Coleman mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit In the Rockies—Blackfeet beobachtet, die im Oktober 2020 für USD 32.500,00 (€ 27.904,18) versteigert wurde.
