Auction result misses estimated price range
In March 2021 a collector was able to acquire the work Deer Hunters by Michael B. Coleman for USD 3,780.00 (€ 3,218.94). This price was achieved in the auction Two Centuries: American Art at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Michael B. Coleman have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work In the Rockies—Blackfeet in October 2020 with an auction result of USD 32,500.00 (€ 27,904.18).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im März 2021 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Deer Hunters von Michael B. Coleman für USD 3.780,00 (€ 3.218,94) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Two Centuries: American Art bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Michael B. Coleman auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit In the Rockies—Blackfeet im Oktober 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 32.500,00 (€ 27.904,18).
