Auction result misses estimated price range
In November last year a collector was able to acquire the work Rock Ptarmigan 14 x 16 in. framed 22 1/2 x 24 1/2 in. by Michael B. Coleman for USD 2,805.00 (€ 2,717.23). This price was achieved in the auction Western Art at Bonhams in Los Angeles and was even below the estimate range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Michael B. Coleman achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work In the Rockies—Blackfeet in October 2020 with an auction result of USD 32,500.00 (€ 27,904.18).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November letzten Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Rock Ptarmigan 14 x 16 in. framed 22 1/2 x 24 1/2 in. von Michael B. Coleman für USD 2.805,00 (€ 2.717,23) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Western Art bei Bonhams in Los Angeles erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Michael B. Coleman erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit In the Rockies—Blackfeet im Oktober 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 32.500,00 (€ 27.904,18).
