Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In March 2015 Sothebys in London held the auction Made In Britain, which included the work Untitled Drawing (Torso) by Michael Andrews. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 2,375.00 (€ 3,283.56), 19% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Michael Andrews achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Near Malu Kata Evening, Katatjuta (The Olgas) in June 2016 with an auction result of GBP 1,265,000.00 (€ 1,518,412.80).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im März 2015 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Made In Britain durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled Drawing (Torso) von Michael Andrews zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 2.375,00 (€ 3.283,56) und damit 19% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Michael Andrews erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Near Malu Kata Evening, Katatjuta (The Olgas) im Juni 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.265.000,00 (€ 1.518.412,80).
