Auction result misses estimated price range
In March 2015 a collector was able to acquire the work Torso by Michael Andrews for GBP 1,375.00 (€ 1,901.01). This price was achieved in the auction Made In Britain at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Michael Andrews achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Near Malu Kata Evening, Katatjuta (The Olgas) in June 2016 with an auction result of GBP 1,265,000.00 (€ 1,518,412.80).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im März 2015 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Torso von Michael Andrews für GBP 1.375,00 (€ 1.901,01) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Made In Britain bei Sothebys in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Michael Andrews erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Near Malu Kata Evening, Katatjuta (The Olgas) im Juni 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.265.000,00 (€ 1.518.412,80).
