The work Mirage by Miao Xiaochun was sold in the Contemporary Art Asia: China, Korea, Japan auction at Sothebys in New York in September 2007. The result of USD 15,000.00 (€ 10,549.27) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 15,000.00 – 25,000.00. Admittedly, works by Miao Xiaochun have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Carrying The Cross (Set Of Eighteen) in April 2016 with an auction result of HKD 375,000.00 (€ 42,249.37).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Mirage von Miao Xiaochun wurde im September 2007 in der Auktion Contemporary Art Asia: China, Korea, Japan bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 15.000,00 (€ 10.549,27) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 15.000,00 – 25.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Miao Xiaochun auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Carrying The Cross (Set Of Eighteen) im April 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 375.000,00 (€ 42.249,37).
