Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Oops by Meyer Vaisman was auctioned at Sothebys in London in April 2018, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 6,875.00 (€ 7,829.89). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Meyer Vaisman - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Souvenir, which sold at auction in November 2015 for USD 21,250.00 (€ 20,119.30).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Oops von Meyer Vaisman im April 2018 bei Sothebys in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 6.875,00 (€ 7.829,89) den Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Meyer Vaisman mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Souvenir beobachtet, die im November 2015 für USD 21.250,00 (€ 20.119,30) versteigert wurde.
