Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work A Landscape With A Stream, Cottages In A Wood, And A Peasant With His Dog On A Path by Meindert Hobbema was sold in the Important Old Master Paintings Including European Works of Art auction at Sothebys in New York in January 2008. Here, the upper estimate of USD 30,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 34,000.00 (€ 22,909.51). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Meindert Hobbema achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Wooded Landscape With Travellers On A Path Through A Hamlet in July 2001 with an auction result of GBP 6,493,750.00 (€ 10,574,602.95).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit A Landscape With A Stream, Cottages In A Wood, And A Peasant With His Dog On A Path von Meindert Hobbema wurde im Januar 2008 in der Auktion Important Old Master Paintings Including European Works of Art bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 30.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 34.000,00 (€ 22.909,51) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Meindert Hobbema erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Wooded Landscape With Travellers On A Path Through A Hamlet im Juli 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 6.493.750,00 (€ 10.574.602,95).
