Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A wooded river landscape with a shepherdess resting with her cattle by Meindert Hobbema was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in May 2011. The price achieved of EUR 31,000.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Meindert Hobbema achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Wooded Landscape With Travellers On A Path Through A Hamlet in July 2001 with an auction result of GBP 6,493,750.00 (€ 10,574,602.95).

Die Arbeit A wooded river landscape with a shepherdess resting with her cattle von Meindert Hobbema kam im Mai 2011 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 31.000,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 25.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Meindert Hobbema erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Wooded Landscape With Travellers On A Path Through A Hamlet im Juli 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 6.493.750,00 (€ 10.574.602,95).
