Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work A Landscape With A Stream, Cottages In A Wood, And A Peasant With His Dog On A Path by Meindert Hobbema was sold in the Old Master Paintings auction at Sothebys in New York in June 2008. It achieved a price of USD 35,000.00 (€ 22,225.04), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 17%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Meindert Hobbema achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Wooded Landscape With Travellers On A Path Through A Hamlet in July 2001 with an auction result of GBP 6,493,750.00 (€ 10,574,602.95).

Die Arbeit A Landscape With A Stream, Cottages In A Wood, And A Peasant With His Dog On A Path von Meindert Hobbema wurde im Juni 2008 in der Auktion Old Master Paintings bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 35.000,00 (€ 22.225,04) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 17%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Meindert Hobbema erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Wooded Landscape With Travellers On A Path Through A Hamlet im Juli 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 6.493.750,00 (€ 10.574.602,95).
