This artwork by Medardo Rosso achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in September 2017. In the The Collection of Edward Albee auction, the work Enfant Juif (Bambino Ebreo) sold for USD 250,000.00 (€ 211,631.25) - well above the upper estimate of USD 120,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Medardo Rosso - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Enfant Juif, which sold at auction in October 2015 for GBP 341,000.00 (€ 476,973.83).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Medardo Rosso erzielte im September 2017 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion The Collection of Edward Albee wurde die Arbeit Enfant Juif (Bambino Ebreo) für USD 250.000,00 (€ 211.631,25) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 120.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Medardo Rosso mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Enfant Juif beobachtet, die im Oktober 2015 für GBP 341.000,00 (€ 476.973,83) versteigert wurde.
