Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Medardo Rosso could be acquired at Sothebys in London in October 2016 for an unexpectedly low price. In the The Italian Sale auction, the work Enfant Juif changed hands for GBP 118,750.00 (€ 132,291.10) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 120,000.00 – 180,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Medardo Rosso - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Enfant Juif, which sold at auction in October 2015 for GBP 341,000.00 (€ 476,973.83).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Medardo Rosso konnte im Oktober 2016 bei Sothebys in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion The Italian Sale wechselte die Arbeit Enfant Juif für GBP 118.750,00 (€ 132.291,10) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 120.000,00 – 180.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Medardo Rosso mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Enfant Juif beobachtet, die im Oktober 2015 für GBP 341.000,00 (€ 476.973,83) versteigert wurde.
