Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Inyo County by Maynard Dixon was sold in the Western Art auction at Bonhams in Los Angeles in April last year. Here, the upper estimate of USD 120,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 120,075.00 (€ 113,955.59). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Maynard Dixon achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Pony Boy in October 2000 with an auction result of USD 1,326,000.00 (€ 1,562,573.65).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Inyo County von Maynard Dixon wurde im April letzten Jahres in der Auktion Western Art bei Bonhams in Los Angeles versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 120.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 120.075,00 (€ 113.955,59) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Maynard Dixon erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Pony Boy im Oktober 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.326.000,00 (€ 1.562.573,65).
