Auction result misses estimated price range
In November this year a collector was able to acquire the work La Belle France, Charlie Wend - As Seen By, and Mrs. St** - As Not Seen By (a group of three) by Maynard Dixon for USD 2,560.00 (€ 2,346.90). This price was achieved in the auction Western Art at Bonhams in Los Angeles and was even below the estimate range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Maynard Dixon achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Pony Boy in October 2000 with an auction result of USD 1,326,000.00 (€ 1,562,573.65).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit La Belle France, Charlie Wend - As Seen By, and Mrs. St** - As Not Seen By (a group of three) von Maynard Dixon für USD 2.560,00 (€ 2.346,90) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Western Art bei Bonhams in Los Angeles erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Maynard Dixon erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Pony Boy im Oktober 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.326.000,00 (€ 1.562.573,65).
