Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Horse's Head, Glacier National Park, Montana by Maynard Dixon was sold in the Western Art auction at Bonhams in April this year. The »bidding war« ended at USD 3,570.00 (€ 3,233.70), 19% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Maynard Dixon achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Pony Boy in October 2000 with an auction result of USD 1,326,000.00 (€ 1,562,573.65).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Horse's Head, Glacier National Park, Montana von Maynard Dixon wurde im April diesen Jahres in der Auktion Western Art bei Bonhams versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 3.570,00 (€ 3.233,70) und damit 19% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Maynard Dixon erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Pony Boy im Oktober 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.326.000,00 (€ 1.562.573,65).
