Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Vision for Tomorrow & Simple Stroke of Fate by Maya Ishii was sold in the Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2009. The price achieved of HKD 43,750.00 (€ 3,995.29) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 35,000.00 – 55,000.00. Admittedly, works by Maya Ishii have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Tremor; & Glitter in November 2010 with an auction result of HKD 200,000.00 (€ 19,760.66).

Die Arbeit A Vision for Tomorrow & Simple Stroke of Fate von Maya Ishii wurde im Mai 2009 in der Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 43.750,00 (€ 3.995,29) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 35.000,00 – 55.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Maya Ishii auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Tremor; & Glitter im November 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 200.000,00 (€ 19.760,66).
