Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2008 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale), which included the work Promise; Pointing In Pointing Out & The Sight by Maya Ishii. The price achieved of HKD 68,750.00 (€ 5,659.95) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 55,000.00 – 85,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Maya Ishii - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Tremor; & Glitter, which sold at auction in November 2010 for HKD 200,000.00 (€ 19,760.66).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2008 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) durch, in der auch die Arbeit Promise; Pointing In Pointing Out & The Sight von Maya Ishii zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 68.750,00 (€ 5.659,95) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 55.000,00 – 85.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Maya Ishii mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Tremor; & Glitter beobachtet, die im November 2010 für HKD 200.000,00 (€ 19.760,66) versteigert wurde.
