In the Victorian & Traditionalist Pictures auction, the work The Window Seat, An Evening At Home (Portrait of The Artist'S Wife) sold for GBP 19,200.00 (€ 27,782.08) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 10,000.00. Admittedly, works by Maxwell Ashby Armfield have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Madison Square Park, New York in June 2007 with an auction result of GBP 102,000.00 (€ 151,362.87).
