The price achieved of USD 10,710.00 (€ 9,818.48) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Maxime Maufra achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Le Vent in November 2011 with an auction result of USD 266,500.00 (€ 198,097.08).

Die Arbeit Bords de Marne von Maxime Maufra kam im November diesen Jahres bei Christies in Sydney zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 10.710,00 (€ 9.818,48) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Maxime Maufra erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Le Vent im November 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 266.500,00 (€ 198.097,08).
