Despite a disappointment, a good price for Maxime Maufra
In November 2011 a collector was able to acquire the work Le Vent by Maxime Maufra for USD 266,500.00 (€ 198,097.08). This price was achieved in the auction Impressionist & Modern Art Evening Sale at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 300,000.00 – 500,000.00 set by the auction house. Despite this disappointing result, Le Vent is the most expensive artwork by Maxime Maufra that we have observed at auction so far.
Trotz Enttäuschung ein guter Preis für Maxime Maufra
Im November 2011 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Le Vent von Maxime Maufra für USD 266.500,00 (€ 198.097,08) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art Evening Sale bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 300.000,00 – 500.000,00. Trotz dieses enttäuschenden Ergebnisses ist Le Vent das teuerste Kunstwerk von Maxime Maufra, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
