Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2008 Sothebys in London held the auction Russian Contemporary Sale, which included the work Red Tower by Maxim Kantor. The price achieved of GBP 58,100.00 (€ 72,988.01) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 45,000.00 – 65,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Maxim Kantor - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Cedar and Man, which sold at auction in July this year for GBP 139,700.00 (€ 162,987.56).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2008 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Russian Contemporary Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Red Tower von Maxim Kantor zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 58.100,00 (€ 72.988,01) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 45.000,00 – 65.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Maxim Kantor mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Cedar and Man beobachtet, die im Juli diesen Jahres für GBP 139.700,00 (€ 162.987,56) versteigert wurde.
