Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2008 Sothebys in London held the auction Russian Paintings, which included the work Attributes Of Meal (Big Still Life With Three Glasses) by Maxim Kantor. It changed hands for a price of GBP 18,750.00 (€ 23,700.63) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Admittedly, works by Maxim Kantor have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Cedar and Man in July this year with an auction result of GBP 139,700.00 (€ 162,987.56).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2008 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Russian Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Attributes Of Meal (Big Still Life With Three Glasses) von Maxim Kantor zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 18.750,00 (€ 23.700,63) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Maxim Kantor auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Cedar and Man im Juli diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 139.700,00 (€ 162.987,56).
