Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2008 Sothebys in London held the auction Russian Paintings, which included the work A Group Of Three Etchings: Tree, The State, Leftovers by Maxim Kantor. The price achieved of GBP 6,875.00 (€ 8,690.23) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Maxim Kantor achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Cedar and Man in July this year with an auction result of GBP 139,700.00 (€ 162,987.56).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2008 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Russian Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Group Of Three Etchings: Tree, The State, Leftovers von Maxim Kantor zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 6.875,00 (€ 8.690,23) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Maxim Kantor erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Cedar and Man im Juli diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 139.700,00 (€ 162.987,56).
