Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Don't Forget To Call Your Mother by Maurizio Cattelan was auctioned at Christies in London in July last year. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 12,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 12,096.00 (€ 14,444.77). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Maurizio Cattelan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Him in May 2016 with an auction result of USD 17,189,000.00 (€ 15,436,910.64).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Don't Forget To Call Your Mother von Maurizio Cattelan kam im Juli letzten Jahres bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 12.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 12.096,00 (€ 14.444,77) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Maurizio Cattelan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Him im Mai 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 17.189.000,00 (€ 15.436.910,64).
