Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A view of the Thunersee with the mountains Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau beyond, Switzerland by Mauritz Frederick Hendrick de Haas was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in September 2010. The price achieved of EUR 5,000.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mauritz Frederick Hendrick de Haas achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Coastal Scene with Sailboat in May 2007 with an auction result of USD 72,000.00 (€ 53,519.66).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 5.000,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mauritz Frederick Hendrick de Haas erzielen.
