Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of USD 25,000.00 (€ 18,852.27) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Mauritz Frederick Hendrick de Haas - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Coastal Scene with Sailboat, which sold at auction in May 2007 for USD 72,000.00 (€ 53,519.66).
