Auction result misses estimated price range

In the American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture auction, the work Sunset Along The Coast changed hands for USD 18,750.00 (€ 13,862.19) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Mauritz Frederick Hendrick de Haas - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Coastal Scene with Sailboat, which sold at auction in May 2007 for USD 72,000.00 (€ 53,519.66).
