Auction result well in line with expectations
In May last year Bonhams in New York held the auction American Art, which included the work Fishing Vessels in the English Channel 25 1/4 x 42 3/8 in. (64.1 x 107.6 cm.) by Mauritz Frederick Hendrick de Haas. The price achieved of USD 5,737.50 (€ 5,346.66) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mauritz Frederick Hendrick de Haas achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Coastal Scene with Sailboat in May 2007 with an auction result of USD 72,000.00 (€ 53,519.66).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in New York die Auktion American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Fishing Vessels in the English Channel 25 1/4 x 42 3/8 in. (64.1 x 107.6 cm.) von Mauritz Frederick Hendrick de Haas zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 5.737,50 (€ 5.346,66) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mauritz Frederick Hendrick de Haas erzielen.
