This artwork by Maurice Chabas achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Paris in May 2007. In the Art Impressionniste et Moderne auction, the work Femme de profil sold for EUR 6,600.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by Maurice Chabas have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Néméa, 1894 in September 2017 with an auction result of EUR 27,300.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Maurice Chabas erzielte im Mai 2007 bei Christies in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Art Impressionniste et Moderne wurde die Arbeit Femme de profil für EUR 6.600,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 3.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Maurice Chabas auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Néméa, 1894 im September 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 27.300,00.
