This artwork by Maurice Chabas achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Paris in March 2017. In the Art Impressionniste et Moderne auction, the work Élégantes dans un jardin sold for EUR 15,000.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 7,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Maurice Chabas; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Néméa, 1894 sold at auction in September 2017 with the realized price of EUR 27,300.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Maurice Chabas erzielte im März 2017 bei Christies in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Art Impressionniste et Moderne wurde die Arbeit Élégantes dans un jardin für EUR 15.000,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 7.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Maurice Chabas; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Néméa, 1894 im September 2017 mit dem Hammerpreis von EUR 27.300,00.
