Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Matts Leiderstam could be acquired at Bukowski in Stockholm in June 2020 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Art & Design auction, the work ”Selbstbildnis”, 2003 changed hands for SEK 10,000.00 (€ 956.28) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of SEK 12,000.00 – 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by Matts Leiderstam have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Selbstbildnis in October 2011 with an auction result of USD 8,125.00 (€ 5,825.63).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Matts Leiderstam konnte im Juni 2020 bei Bukowski in Stockholm für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Contemporary Art & Design wechselte die Arbeit ”Selbstbildnis”, 2003 für SEK 10.000,00 (€ 956,28) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von SEK 12.000,00 – 15.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Matts Leiderstam auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Selbstbildnis im Oktober 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 8.125,00 (€ 5.825,63).
