Sold at the upper estimate price

The auction ended at the price of EUR 1,200.00, which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of EUR 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Matthieu Wiegman achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Avondlandschap met geitjes in November 2005 with an auction result of EUR 24,000.00.

Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von EUR 1.200,00 entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 800,00 – 1.200,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Matthieu Wiegman erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Avondlandschap met geitjes im November 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 24.000,00.
