This artwork by Matthieu Wiegman achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Amsterdam in March 2007. In the Kerseboom Unlimited; a no reserve sale ! auction, the work A still life with a jug and fruits in a basket sold for EUR 288.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 150.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Matthieu Wiegman achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Avondlandschap met geitjes in November 2005 with an auction result of EUR 24,000.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 92 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Matthieu Wiegman erzielte im März 2007 bei Christies in Amsterdam einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Kerseboom Unlimited; a no reserve sale ! wurde die Arbeit A still life with a jug and fruits in a basket für EUR 288,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 150,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Matthieu Wiegman erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Avondlandschap met geitjes im November 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 24.000,00.
