Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

It achieved a price of EUR 2,375.00 exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 19 %. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Matthieu Wiegman achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Avondlandschap met geitjes in November 2005 with an auction result of EUR 24,000.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit A still life with flowers in vases von Matthieu Wiegman kam im Dezember 2012 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von EUR 2.375,00 und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 19 %. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Matthieu Wiegman erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Avondlandschap met geitjes im November 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 24.000,00.
