In June 2005 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Pictures Watercolours and Drawings, which included the work White Pigeons - A Design For A Mural by Matthieu Wiegman. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 1,800.00 50% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Matthieu Wiegman achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Avondlandschap met geitjes in November 2005 with an auction result of EUR 24,000.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 50 % übertroffen
Im Juni 2005 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Pictures Watercolours and Drawings durch, in der auch die Arbeit White Pigeons - A Design For A Mural von Matthieu Wiegman zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 1.800,00 und damit 50% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Matthieu Wiegman erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Avondlandschap met geitjes im November 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 24.000,00.
