Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Still Life With Apples In A Bowl And A Book by Matthieu Wiegman was sold in the Pictures Watercolours and Drawings auction at Christies in Amsterdam in June 2005. The price achieved of EUR 1,080.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Matthieu Wiegman achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Avondlandschap met geitjes in November 2005 with an auction result of EUR 24,000.00.

Die Arbeit A Still Life With Apples In A Bowl And A Book von Matthieu Wiegman wurde im Juni 2005 in der Auktion Pictures Watercolours and Drawings bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 1.080,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Matthieu Wiegman erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Avondlandschap met geitjes im November 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 24.000,00.
