Auction result well in line with expectations
In July this year Christies in Paris held the auction Remastered: Old Masters from the Collection of J.E. Safra - Selling Without Reserve, which included the work A landscape with drugged birds in the flowers and underbrush of the wood by Matthias Withoos. The price achieved of GBP 100,800.00 (€ 117,603.05) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. Other works by Matthias Withoos have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in May 2021 the work Landscape With Drugged Birds In The Flower And Underbrush Of The Wood was auctioned for USD 151,200.00 (€ 123,995.41).

Im Juli diesen Jahres führte Christies in Paris die Auktion Remastered: Old Masters from the Collection of J.E. Safra - Selling Without Reserve durch, in der auch die Arbeit A landscape with drugged birds in the flowers and underbrush of the wood von Matthias Withoos zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 100.800,00 (€ 117.603,05) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von Matthias Withoos konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Mai 2021 die Arbeit Landscape With Drugged Birds In The Flower And Underbrush Of The Wood für USD 151.200,00 (€ 123.995,41) versteigert.
