This artwork by Matthias Withoos achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in April 2011. In the Old Master & British Paintings auction, the work A forest floor still life with a frog and mushroom, mountains beyond sold for GBP 39,650.00 (€ 44,652.73) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Matthias Withoos - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Landscape With Drugged Birds In The Flower And Underbrush Of The Wood, which sold at auction in May 2021 for USD 151,200.00 (€ 123,995.41).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Matthias Withoos erzielte im April 2011 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Old Master & British Paintings wurde die Arbeit A forest floor still life with a frog and mushroom, mountains beyond für GBP 39.650,00 (€ 44.652,73) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 15.000,00.
