In the Old Master & British Paintings auction, the work A forest floor still life with a frog and mushroom, mountains beyond sold for GBP 39,650.00 (€ 44,652.73) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Matthias Withoos - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Landscape With Drugged Birds In The Flower And Underbrush Of The Wood, which sold at auction in May 2021 for USD 151,200.00 (€ 123,995.41).
