Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Matthew Monahan could be acquired at Christies in London in September 2016 for an unexpectedly low price. In the First Open | Post-War and Contemporary Art | London auction, this work without title changed hands for GBP 2,500.00 (€ 2,895.31) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Matthew Monahan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Morning Thaw in May 2008 with an auction result of USD 92,000.00 (€ 59,125.96).
